Fixing the lid to the hull

After much debating of how we wanted the lid to clamp down we opted to go for 2 internal clamps that work much line a work top clamp with a rod pulling down tight on the lid

We made 4 brackets and welded a nut to one end  of each rod so it wouldn't pull through

We then fiberglassed the brackets in top and bottom

Starting with the top so we could have the bar hang like a plumb line allowing   us to mark the centre point in the hull

Once installed they can be turned clamping the lid and the hull together tight
